Edible CEO Tariq Farid told Yahoo Finance that the Atlanta-based franchise has undergone a significant transformation during the pandemic, resulting in a 45 percent increase in sales last year.
“Most of these pivots that were done had been planned for the next three to four years. We did them within the last six to eight months. That’s driven a lot of growth,” Farid said, referring to the launch of baked goods, fresh flowers and other product lines. “We had a very strong online presence, and that just reinforced our investment in our online presence. And that’s where the growth was.”
