Sales soar for Edible during pandemic

Edible Arrangements showed strong growth during the pandemic. A reason is that while merchants scrambled to provide delivery service, Edible’s franchises are ready for delivery from the time they open their doors.

At a time when many were avoiding grocery stores for fear of exposure to the coronavirus, Edible Arrangements had the infrastructure set up to deliver produce to consumers, Somia Farid Silber, vice president of ecommerce at Edible Arrangements, told Digital Commerce 260.

EdibleArrangements.com routes online purchases to stores located nearest to the customer. Associates at that store then prepare and deliver the order, bypassing warehousing and shipping carriers.
