Colorado Springs business owner uses Army training to become franchisee

A recent study by the Small Business Administration indicates that former military veterans are more likely to own a small business than non-veterans and Army veteran Mark Lambert thinks he knows why.

Lambert, a Five Star Painting franchisee, told KRDO news of Colorado Springs that the skills he learned in the military have helped him find success as a business owner.

“Just experience, being in charge of eight people, 40 people, 400 people. Different levels train you how to manage different levels of soldiers or people,” Lambert said.

Lambert encouraged other veterans to seek opportunities in franchises and small businesses.
